Outside of lab, I enjoy writing, spending time with my husband and three cats, and playing cozy games.

Research Interests
My role in the lab is to investigate meaningful genetic differences in human post-mortem brain tissue, though I am also proficient in culturing cells, various staining techniques, and working with DNA/RNA (extraction, PCR, etc).
My current project is my PhD project! I am using human post-mortem brain tissue to examine transcriptomic and proteomic differences in the striatum between psychosis and comparison subjects. I am wrapping up the first leg of it where we looked into differential expression across regions and sex. I am just about to start studying splicing differences and will end by studying alterations in proteomic rhythmicity.
